Why is this blog called girl on the gogh?

I spent less than 48 hours on my first (and so far only) trip to Amsterdam. During my visit, it was said that visiting the Van Gogh Museum was a "must do." With not a lot of time to work with, I went along with the recommendation even though art in this sense has never really been my thing. You can learn about things in school or read about them in books, but it's so different when you see, feel, or touch something. I loved Van Gogh's work and explored the museum for hours. However, what really moved me was reading his letters. Despite battling mental illness, he worked every day to keep his passion and hope alive. It's so clear how much he fought to believe in the beauty of the world around him. He wasn't a saint, but he's become an inspiration to millions by refusing to give up on what he believed made the world magical. I hope one day (although I'm sure it won't be to the same scale and that's okay) to inspire even just one person to believe that their art, whatever it may be, is magical and it can change the world.
