Gogh Time
Hi! It's finally here - Girl on the Gogh's birthday. I can't believe I hit a deadline.
Let's get right to it. What is Girl on the Gogh?
Girl on the Gogh the website is part diary, part a collection of my writing, and part a way to memorialize my journey. It's also a way to give me some "purpose" on my travels other than simply basking on every beach I find (although that will happen often, too). PSA: I rarely ever proofread, I overuse commas, my grammar isn't that great, and loads of sarcasm finds it's way into most of my writing. Sounds promising, eh?
Girl on the Gogh the woman is a blonde, blue-eyed twenty something who loves traveling despite her fear of flying, prefers wine to water, loves laughing and napping, and feels most at home by the ocean. I care deeply for my family and friends but I'm fiercely independent. I struggle making final decisions but like to be in control. I like to read for hours and jog for minutes. I love discovering the magic inside of people and places - the true spark at the core of who and what they are. I can be very moody but will probably make you laugh sooner rather than later. I love sharks and hate spiders. Tequila makes me happy and people who smack their food make me sad. I think I'm really funny - the jury is out on whether or not I actually am.
Finally, after all these years I took the scariest, hardest risk and followed my heart, quitting my job to travel the world without any agenda or actual idea of what the heck I'm doing to be a Girl on the Gogh. Swipe right?
Girl on the Gogh is a work in progress - both the site and the woman. Take a few minutes to explore. There's more about me and my travels throughout the site as well as some older posts from a previous, purely personal blog that I wrote throughout the past couple of years.
Thank you for being a part of my journey. Stay tuned.
